Google Assistant Integrates with Nubank, Banco do Brasil, iFood, and Rappi

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The Google Android Assistant is adding additional features in English: the “OK Google” command can be used to view the balance and make transfers to Nubank‘s NuConta and Banco do Brasil, as well as request delivery and track your order on iFood and Rappi. Amazon Alexa also provides integration with some services in Brazil.

These commands have been tested on a Moto Z with Android 9 Pie and updated versions of Google, iFood, and Nubank Apps.

To use Google Wizard with Nubank, the App must be installed on Android and be logged in. Commands such as “Ok Google, transfer R$20 (US$5) to João on Nubank” or “I want to see the balance on Nubank” can be said. The same is true for Banco do Brasil.

As an example, Google mentions the command “pay my Nubank card bill”. This opens the Nubank App directly on the display that enables this operation without having to navigate through the interface to get to it.

With Nubank and Banco do Brasil, it is possible to request bank transfers, account balance queries, credit card invoice queries, and payment of bills. In the case of iFood and Rappi, saying “track my order” or “order pizza” is possible, as it opens the search for the corresponding application.

These commands have been tested on a Moto Z with Android 9 Pie and updated versions of Google, iFood, and Nubank Apps, but the Wizard commands did not work: instead, web search opened. It is likely that this is gradually being distributed to users.
